As a University of Kansas Journalism-Public Relations graduate, I began my career with Bernstein-Rein advertising as a media buyer and eventually landed in Account Service on the McDonald’s account. After having a family, I started my own interior design company, Interiors by Pam Baker, in 1999. It took off and I have been designing many homes and remodels for my clients. In 2006, I began working with Suma Design Inc. as their interior designer for new construction where I honed my skills in designing $400k to $1 million homes. I continue to work for Suma Design Inc. as needed where I design their custom homes with the coordination of the tile, granite, lighting, fixtures, carpet, and color to create beautiful, cohesive homes. I have developed many strong working relationships with sub-contractors so I am able to facilitate quick resolution to my clients design needs while helping them prepare their homes to put on the market. I have the tools and knowledge to help my clients get their home ready to sell or stage during the selling period, as well as pulling together their new home purchase. My passion for design has been bridged with my passion for real estate that ensures that my clients get exception service during this the entire process.
In December 2012, I joined Reece & Nichols Leawood office as Asst. Managing Broker with George Burns. As the #1 office we had over $575 Million in sales and over 2100 transactions. My responsibilities were to recruit and train all new agents, run weekly sales meetings and problem solving transaction issues.
As of June 2014, I moved to the West office as Managing Broker of a top 5 office. Recruiting, Coaching and Training are the central part of my days along with helping over 100 talented agens to be successful entrepreneurs.
